Serious Sam "Peaceful Night in Karnak" Demo, Quality settings, 16bit color
and textures. I chose this game mainly for it's implementation of large textures.
Since it's a newer game and uses a unique gaming engine, this OpenGL title seemed
like a good choice for this comparision, especially since it has premade demos built in
for benchmarking. By choosing "quality" settings, it automatically used
"huge" textures and highest detail settings, even in 16bit. The V3 won't
do 32bit textures, which once again points out one of the limitations of the Avenger
GPU. I also used the latest registered WickedGL for all cards, since the V3 refused
to run the game correctly without it.

Taking time to examine these
benchmarks, it's clear that the VSA100 has definite advantages when running newer games
with larger texture support. It took a V3 @ 183MHz to match the performance of the
V4 4500, so this can probably be attributed to the VSA100's more robust feature set and
larger bank of SDRAM. Not to mention the fact that the V5 and V4 ran this title
perfectly out of the box, while the V3 needed the WickedGL.
